System.Net namespace?

Is there any plans on allowing the use of the System.Net namespace anytime soon? I really would need to fetch some data via HTTP on my server.

As doing HTTP requests from the server is a pretty obvious security problem we do not allow such.

May I ask what you are trying to fetch from your server?

Alternatively you can grap the data in your flash clients.
